Rochester, MN (March 27, 2026) — GoRout, the leading provider of coach-to-player communication technology, today announced a new partnership with the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS). As part of this agreement, GoRout has been designated the Official In-Game Wearable Partner of TAPPS Football.
This announcement comes as TAPPS prepares to formally approve the use of in-game wearable communication technology for football programs across the state, marking a significant step forward in modernizing game-day operations for member schools.
GoRout’s system allows coaches to instantly send play calls directly to players via wearable devices, eliminating the need for hand signals while improving tempo, clarity, and execution on game day.
“We’re excited to partner with TAPPS at such a pivotal moment,” said Mike Rolih, CEO & Founder at GoRout. “Texas has always set the standard in high school football, and TAPPS schools are now stepping into the future with communication technology that enhances both efficiency and competitive integrity.”
Following the University Interscholastic League (UIL) approval of in-game communication technology in 2025, GoRout quickly established itself as the market leader in Texas. In its first year alone, over 170 Texas high school programs adopted GoRout Gridiron, signaling rapid statewide adoption and positioning GoRout as the clear leader in the state.
As part of the partnership, all TAPPS member schools will receive a discount off their first-year setup costs, making it easier for programs to implement the technology and remain competitive.
Beyond football game-day communication, GoRout continues to expand its impact across multiple sports and use cases. The company also provides approved in-game wearable communication for baseball and softball, further streamlining communication and eliminating sign stealing. Additionally, GoRout Scout, the company’s football practice solution, enables teams to script, install, and execute practices with the same speed and efficiency they experience on game day.
Today, more than 4,000 teams nationwide rely on GoRout products across football, baseball, and softball, making it one of the fastest-growing technologies in high school and collegiate athletics.
“As TAPPS moves towards the opportunity for teams to use wearable technologies in football for the coming year, we proudly recognize and partner with Go Rout, a proven provider for our team’s consideration”, stated Bryan Bunselmeyer – TAPPS Executive Director
