Go Rout is a game changer for SXU Baseball. We value pace of play, and Go Rout allows us to control the tempo and work at a rapid rate. Hitters hate this because it’s pitch after pitch before they can settle in. We get a lot of eye contact warnings haha. We also love putting on pick plays. In the past, these have been verbal’s and not everyone knew them. Now they are coming from the watches where it’s more discreet and covert as I like to say. This helped us win a HUGE conference tournament game with a back pick to 3B with the bases loaded. It was a game saver, and helped us win a championship! Adding Go Rout is an absolute no brainer.

I cannot begin to tell you the effectiveness of this device and this system. In our system we have over 250 signs/commands and over the years you always had to worry about players knowing what signs you had on or more importantly if people were stealing your signs every game.
This system has changed the game. The days are gone where a player will miss signs because all you have to do is read the watch. You are able to put phrases and reminders in there, it’s almost like a coach speaking in the player’s ear.

The convergence of pitch clocks, kids no longer growing up getting traditional signs, coaching at a place where the wind is always blowing and/or guys can’t hear anything (making cards/numbers worthless), the solution is tech, or make kids figure out the traditional. GoRout has constantly been listening to our feedback to make improvements to their product over the last few years. Our experience with GoRout has improved greatly from the fall to the spring season after conducting the new software update. The watches have been very reliable, and provide quick and easy communication from coach to pitcher, as well as coach to fielders. With the NCAA Softball rule change, we have added watches and we are seamlessly calling pitches/plays on defense and offense now.
