From 2013 to 2019, the Rouse High School football team had just one winning season. The Raiders finished the 2019 campaign with a 1-9 record, scoring just 7 points per game, and tied for last place in the district.
Head Coach Josh Mann held out hope for better days, and set sights on the team’s immediate future. He was quoted in a Dave Campbell’s Texas Football article stating, “the senior class [of 2019] was extremely successful when it comes to leadership.” He believed in the sophomores and juniors to step up and lead the program in the right direction.
With a confident coach and budding culture in the locker room, the Raiders were a great season of practice away from turning the corner.
