It may come as a surprise that one of the most promising innovations to come out of Rochester in recent years has nothing to do with health care.
The company’s called GoRout, and it produces wearable devices that allow football coaches to communicate with players in real-time. While the technology has not yet been approved for use in actual games, nearly 30 high school and college teams — including several in our area — have started using the gear during practice this season.
