SACRAMENTO, CALIF. (August 19, 2026) – CIF Sports Properties and GoRout today announced a partnership extending through 2029, naming GoRout the official baseball and softball coach-to-player communication provider of the CIF. The partnership launches ahead of the 2026-27 athletic year, which will culminate in June 2027 with the inaugural CIF State Championship events for baseball and softball.
“We are thrilled to have GoRout as a partner for the upcoming year,” said Ian Frost, Regional Vice President, CIF Sports Properties. “GoRout is helping coaches and athletes elevate the way they prepare, communicate and compete. This partnership represents our shared commitment to innovation, excellence, and creating meaningful opportunities for California student-athletes.”
“California has long been recognized for producing some of the nation’s top baseball and softball programs, making this partnership especially meaningful for our team,” said Drew Robinson, Chief Strategy Officer at GoRout. “As NFHS rules continue to evolve around coach-to-player communication, GoRout Diamond is helping programs embrace those changes with technology that’s simple, reliable, and built specifically for baseball and softball. “We’re also committed to helping schools maximize their resources. By allowing athletic departments to bundle their baseball and softball programs on one platform, GoRout Diamond delivers a consistent experience for coaches while creating meaningful cost savings for schools.”
The NFHS recently announced the expansion of one-way communication technology rules, allowing digital wristbands to be worn by both the pitcher and catcher. The agreement between GoRout and the CIF ensures that California high school baseball and softball remain on the leading edge of competition nationwide, providing coaches with exclusive pricing on GoRout Diamond systems for both programs.
