Anthony Mays (ERP Developer) reflects on his first week at GoRout.

When I joined GoRout, one of the first things that stood out to me was how intentional the company is about its culture and processes. I’ve worked in environments where people were talented and motivated, but without clear systems and shared values, it was easy for teams to become misaligned. At GoRout, I’ve seen firsthand how combining strong core values with structured systems creates an environment where people can succeed and the organization can continue to grow.

The company’s core values aren’t just words on a wall—they play an active role in how decisions are made and how team members work together every day. Values like Relentless Pursuit of the Vision, Team First (Loyal), Lead by Example, Process Oriented, Ability to Adjust to the Game Plan, and Value Reputation provide a clear framework for how we approach challenges and opportunities. They create consistency across the organization and help keep everyone focused on the bigger picture.

What makes these values especially effective is that they’re supported by systems that turn them into action. GoRout uses the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), which provides structure around priorities, accountability, and communication. Through scorecards, quarterly Rocks, measurable action items, and leadership discussions, teams stay focused on the goals that matter most. Rather than constantly reacting to problems, there’s a process for identifying issues, discussing solutions, and tracking progress.

I’ve also noticed how these systems create transparency across the company. Regular conversations about priorities, wins, challenges, and key metrics help ensure everyone understands where the organization is headed and how their individual role contributes to that vision. Tools like Trello provide visibility into projects and responsibilities, making it easier for teams to stay aligned and collaborate effectively.

Another area where GoRout’s commitment to systems stands out is onboarding and training. From the beginning, new team members are introduced not only to their specific responsibilities but also to the company’s mission, culture, and operational framework. That investment helps people understand the “why” behind their work and gives them the tools to contribute with confidence.

As someone who has experienced this firsthand, I’ve come to appreciate how much easier it is to stay focused and productive when expectations, priorities, and values are clearly defined. The combination of strong core values and proven systems creates accountability, encourages continuous improvement, and helps teams make meaningful progress.

Growth doesn’t happen by accident. It requires a clear vision, disciplined execution, and a culture that supports both. From what I’ve experienced at GoRout, the company’s commitment to both people and process is a major reason it continues to grow and create opportunities for its team members to succeed.
